Did you know you are able to change the password format used when emailing employee direct deposit stubs in Payroll?

If the emailed direct deposit stubs for employees are set up to be password-protected, the format of the password can be changed using the Password Format field on the Payroll screen within the Email Manager option.  The Password Format field applies to the password used when emailing employee direct deposit stubs, W2s, and 1095s.

The available password formats are:

  • Employee Birth Date (MMDDYYYY) – Uses the birth date of the employee formatted as MMDDYYYY
  • Employee Birth Date (YYYYMMDD) – Uses the birth date of the employee formatted as YYYYMMDD
  • First Four Letters of Employee Last Name and Last Four Digits of Social Security Number – Uses the first four letters of the employee’s last name (in all caps) and then the last four digits of the employee’s social security number
  • Last Four Digits of Social Security Number – Uses the last four digits of the employee’s social security number
  • Last Six Digits of Social Security Number – Uses the last six digits of the employee’s social security number
