Training Tidbit: For Illinois districts, is there any setup to complete in Payroll prior to submitting an IMRF test file using the state’s new system?

As you are aware, the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) Office is launching a new system which is going live starting at some point in 2024, with test files being able to be submitted starting in the third quarter of 2022.  To accommodate the reporting requirements for use with the new system, the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund Report – New Format option has been added to the Government Reporting menu in the Payroll module of the School Accounting System.

To begin using the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund Report – New Format option in order to create a file to submit for testing, complete the following setup steps:

Step 1:  Complete the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund Report Setup Procedures for each applicable employee.

Step 2:  Complete the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund Report – New Format option to generate the data and create the report file to submit for testing.
