Training Tidbit: Changing Your Password

Have you changed your password to log into the School Accounting System lately? To maintain a high level of security, you should change all your passwords regularly, including your password used with the School Accounting System.

Below is a link to an article providing helpful hints for creating and using passwords:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security/pc-security/password-checker.aspx

To change your password used to log into the School Accounting System, click the User Controls button from the main School Accounting System screen and then select Change Password. On the Change Password screen, your ID will display in the User ID field. Enter the old (existing) password in the Old Password field. Enter the new password in the New Password field. To verify the password was keyed correctly, enter the new password a second time in the second New Password field. Then click the Execute button.

Note: The password for the School Accounting System can be alphanumeric and up to 20 characters long. The password is case sensitive, so be sure to note whether the password is keyed with or without caps. If desired, the system can be set up to require passwords to be changed after a certain number of days; refer to the previously posted Training Tidbit for Days Before Password Change Required Field (click here to view).
