Training Tidbit: Description Parameter on Fixed Asset Inventory Reports
Did you know you are able to generate reports in Fixed Asset Inventory to include only certain assets, such as a listing of only computers or desks? To do this, when generating the report, complete the Description parameter with the desired information. For example, generate the Asset Report by Site/Building/Room – Detail and enter %computer% (making sure to include percent signs % on both sides of the key search word) in the From field for the Description parameter to view all computers that have been entered in the Asset File and see where each is located within the district (sorted by site, building, and room).
