FAQ: How do you setup Negotiations for a teacher who works 5 more days than other teachers, and the teacher needs to be compensated for the extra days?

The best way to handle the additional days in Negotiations is to enter the number of regular days in the Regular Days field, and then enter the extra days in the Additional Days field within the Wages screen of the Employee File.  For example, if all teachers are contracted to work 185 days, but one teacher is contracted for an extra 5 days, enter 185 in the Regular Days field and 5 in the Additional Days field.  Then when calculating the Salary Totals table, specify if the employee should receive a flat dollar amount for each additional day or if his or her daily rate should be used.  To give the employee a flat dollar amount, complete the Dollars Per Additional Day field.  If the system should use his or her daily rate for each additional day, select the Use Daily Rate For Additional Days field.
