What should be entered in the Additional Degree Hours field on the Wages screen in the Employee File? What is the field used for?

This field is used with the Negotiations module to pay employees for additional degree hours they earn that are above the number of hours for their designated lane, but not enough to allow them to move to the next lane. For example, if a salary schedule has lanes for MA+4 and MA+12, but an employee has an MA and 6 credit hours, the employee would be assigned to the MA+4 lane and then a 2 would be entered in the Additional Degree Hours field if the district compensates the employee for the 2 extra hours. Then when calculating the Salary Totals table in Negotiations, the amount in which the employees should be compensated for each additional hour is entered in the Dollars Per Additional Degree Hour field.
