Training Tidbit: Leaves Unit of Tracking

Did you know the unit of tracking for leaves can be defined and then will display in the Employee File and when making entries within Employee Absences, Pay Period Entries, or Time Cards?
To define the unit of tracking for a leave, complete the following:

  • Select the Maintenance menu in Payroll and then Leaves.
  • Bring up the leave to edit.
  • In the Unit of Tracking field, enter the description for how the leave is tracked for the employees, such as in days or hours.
  • Click the Save button to save the changes.

The print screens below show a sample leave defined with Hours as the unit of tracking, and then how that displays on the Leaves screen in the Employee File and when making an entry in Employee Absences.
