Training Tidbit: NE State Identification Number Change
As you are aware, the Nebraska Department of Revenue no longer wants you to include "21-" in your state identification number.To make this change in the School Accounting System, complete the following steps:
- From the Payroll screen, select the Maintenance menu and then Taxes.
- In the Tax ID field, enter the ID for the Nebraska State Income Tax or click the Find button to select the correct ID.
- In the School ID field, edit the number to remove the “21-“.
- Click the Save button to save your changes.
- Repeat these steps if your state identification number is entered for other state taxes, such as state unemployment, etc.
