FAQ: Is it possible to sort payroll checks by a referenced custom field?

Yes.  The sort order of employee payroll checks can be defined within the Check Setup – Employees option.  To define the sort order, complete the following:

  • From the Payroll screen, select the Maintenance menu and then Check Setup – Employees.
  • Bring up the check setup to have sorted by a referenced custom field.
  • Click the down-arrow button for the Sort Checks by Custom Referenced Field field and select the desired referenced custom field by which to sort the checks.
  • Click the Save button.
