Training Tidbit: Is there a way to print reports with masks and wildcard characters?

Yes, when printing a report in the School Accounting System, wildcard characters can be utilized in the From field for parameters.  The wildcard characters are _ for one character and % for an unlimited number of characters.

One particular place where the wildcard characters are frequently used is with the parameter for account numbers on an Account Inquiry report in General Ledger.  Below are two examples of masks using the wildcard characters for the parameter for account numbers in order to print all the expenditure accounts for the General Fund instructional supplies.  The first example will result in all account numbers having the exact structure and specified numbers printing on the report (those account numbers with optional pieces not utilized at the end or having additional pieces beyond what is included in the mask will not print).  The second example will result in all account numbers having the specified numbers printing on the report (including those that have optional pieces at the end that are or are not being utilized).
