When entering my budget, is there a way to have the description for the budget entries automatically appear?

Yes, the Transaction Description field can be set up to repeat or you can allow the system to default a description.

To set the Transaction Description field to automatically repeat, do the following:

  • From the Budgets screen, select the Options menu and then Set Screen Preferences.
  • Select the Repeat field to the right of the Transaction Description field.
  • Click the Save button.
  • After entering a description in the Transaction Description field once, the system will automatically repeat the description with each new entry.

To allow the system to default a description, do the following:

  • When making a budget entry, leave the Transaction Description field blank. If the field is left blank, the system will use a default description of “Budget Entry”.
