FAQ: When uploading the Missouri retirement report file into the Employer Web Portal (EWP), how is the Hours field formatted?
When the file is created from within the Missouri Retirement Report option in the School Accounting System (by using either the Create Employer Reporting File option or the Create Gross Salary Reporting File option), the Hours field is formatted as hours and actual minutes. Thus, within EWP, you must define the setting for the reporting method for hours to be hours and actual minutes.
Note: When viewing and/or editing the Hours field on the View/Edit Data tab within the Missouri Retirement Report option in the School Accounting System, the Hours field is displaying as a decimal for hours and hundredths of an hour; however, when the file is created, the Hours field is formatted as hours and actual minutes with the total number of hours changed accordingly. See Diagrams A and B below for an example of how the Hours field looks on the View/Edit Data tab within the Missouri Retirement Report option and in the retirement report file created using the Create Employer Reporting File option.
