Training Tidbit: How do I generate the file for the annual base salary within the Missouri Retirement Report option?

First, be sure the amounts to report for the annual base salary have been specified for the new fiscal year (for example, create the new year’s wages on the Wages screen in the Employee File and complete the Total Contract field if having the system automatically calculate the annual base salary; otherwise, enter the annual base salary amount for the new year in the applicable custom field); click here to refer to the appropriate FAQ for details on how the annual base salary amount gets reported on the Missouri Retirement Report.

Then within the Missouri Retirement Report option, enter the new fiscal year (i.e. 2027) in the Fiscal Year End field on the Report Options tab, and select a recent payroll batch in the Payroll Batches List (it does not have to be a batch for the current month; for example, select a July 2026 payroll batch).  Enter the correct dates in the Start Date and End Date fields in the Payroll Cycles to Include List (for example, enter August 2026 dates).  If needed, on the Pay Codes tab, select the box for the Exclude from Annual Base Salary field for any pay code that should not be included in the annual base salary amount (applicable only if having the system automatically calculate the annual base salary).  Then generate the report by clicking the Execute button on the Report Options tab.

On the View/Edit Data tab, the new year’s annual base salary amounts will be reflected in the Annual Base Salary column for the employees with the specified dates (in the example above, August 2026 dates).  Then to create the file for the annual base salary, select the Options menu and Create Annual Base Reporting File.
