Training Tidbit: When adding a new user in the School Accounting System, what is the password?

When adding a user in the User Security option in the School Accounting System, the password for the new user will be as follows:  1) if the Employee ID field is not completed for the user, the password will be the user ID; or 2) if the Employee ID field is completed for the user, the password will be the last four digits of the specified employee’s social security number (if a social security number is not entered in the Employee File for the specified employee, the password will be the user ID).

When initially logging into the School Accounting System or the Web Link module (if applicable), the new user must enter the password as noted above, and then the user is able to change his/her password as desired.  To change a password from within the School Accounting System, select the User Controls button and then Change Password, or to change a password from within the Web Link module, select the Settings menu and then Change Password.

Note:  For districts with a password policy defined (on the Password Policy screen in the System File), after the new user initially logs into the School Accounting System or the Web Link module (if applicable), the user will be forced to change his/her password if the password does not meet the required complexity.
