FAQ: Why are the Affordable Care Act (ACA) B and C Forms options are disabled?

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) B and C Forms options under the Government Reporting menu on the Payroll screen will be disabled until a calendar year is defined within the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Reporting option.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) B Forms option is utilized by small employers who are self-insured, and so will only be enabled if a calendar year is defined within the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Reporting Setup option with Self-insured (Fully Self-funded) specified in the Plan Type field and the Large Employer (or Small Employer Treated as Large) field not selected.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) C Forms option is utilized by large employers who are fully-insured or self-insured, and so will only be enabled if a calendar year is defined within the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Reporting Setup option with the Large Employer (or Small Employer Treated as Large) field selected.

For steps on completing the ACA employer reporting process, including generating, printing, emailing, and submitting the 1095 and 1094 B and C forms, refer to Step 5 on the Payroll End of Calendar Year Checklist in the Help File.  Also, keep in mind, the process will be reviewed during our End of Calendar Year Workshops and Payroll End of Calendar Year Checklist for ACA 1095s and 1094s Webinars.
