What is a referenced field within the Custom Fields option?

A referenced field is a type of Custom Field that can be created for employees in Payroll and Human Resources, or for assets in Fixed Asset Inventory. Referenced fields allow only pre-defined values to be entered into the field for employees or assets. An example of a referenced field used for employees is ‘CPR Trained’ and the example IDs defined for the referenced field are ‘Yes’ and ‘No’.
