Training Tidbit: Did you know sick banks can be set up in Human Resources?

Sick banks can be set up in Human Resources to track deposits and withdrawals made to and from the sick bank.  Sick banks are tied to one or more leaves as defined in Payroll, such as a sick bank created for sick leave.  If needed, multiple sick banks can be set up and used for various groups of employees.  For example, a sick bank can be created for sick leave for teachers and then another sick bank can be created for sick leave for the administrative staff.  Any restrictions on the sick bank as set by the school district are stipulated when creating the sick bank, such as a minimum or maximum amount of leave that can be deposited or withdrawn.

Once a sick bank is defined, deposits and withdrawals are made as needed.  The history of the employees who deposited to or withdrew from the sick bank can be viewed within the Sick Banks option.

For step-by-step instructions on setting up a sick bank, refer to the Adding a Sick Bank topic in the Help File.
