Training Tidbit: Is there a way to prevent employees from entering leave requests if they have a negative balance?

Yes, to prevent employees from entering a leave request if the balance for a leave has a negative balance, select the Prohibit Entry if Negative Balance field on the Web Link Leave Options tab in the Leaves option (accessed under the Maintenance menu in Payroll, and then Leaves).  By selecting this field for a leave, a leave request for the particular leave will not be able to be saved in either Payroll or Web Link if the balance is negative.

Note The Prohibit Entry if Negative Balance field does not apply to approving leave requests or making absence entries in Employee Absences or Pay Period Entries.
